History:

A food bank was started in the mid-1970s in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sedona. In 1984, the food bank became a separate organization from the church, forming the Sedona Community Food Bank (SCFB). It continued to distribute food in the lower level of the church. In 1998, the SCFB was recognized as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and, in 2012, the SCFB was recognized as a Qualifying Charitable Organization. In 2022, the SCFB purchased a building located at 30 Inspirational Drive and began distribution from that site in August of 2023.
